丁旭恒，武汉大学物理科学与技术学院教授。2017年在北京师范大学获得博士学位，之后分别在UCLA和东京大学Kavli IPMU 完成了博士后工作。在国际主流期刊发表SCI论文70余篇（一作或通讯文章18篇），总引用5600余次，H因子34(ADS)。担任NASA国际观测计划项目负责人，詹姆斯韦伯空间望远镜(JWST)观测时间与科研基金评审专家。长期担任ApJ，MNRAS，A&A等期刊审稿人。处理了首批詹姆斯韦伯空间望远镜(JWST)的观测数据，首次探测到宇宙初期(z>6)类星体宿主星系的星光，为探索超大质量黑洞在宇宙早期的生长提供了观测依据。在2023年以唯一第一作者兼通讯作者发表于《自然》杂志的成果，被外媒评为JWST年度重大发现之一；在2025年以通讯作者发表于《自然·天文》杂志的成果，被光明日报科技版头条报道。2024年入选国家级青年人才。
